Fighting Cholera International is a 501(c)(3) organization with three main goals:
To spread an educational program that teaches people, in endemic regions, how to avoid contracting the bacterial infection Cholera
To disseminate water filtration devices to prevent the spread of the wateborne- disease
To educate and provide local villages with different treatments for those already infected with Cholera. These medications may be as simple as dehydration salts.
Our Mission
Our mission is to continue to educate and distribute treatments for commonly avoided illness to those without access. It is theorized that the original strain of Vibrio Cholerae originated in that region. In addition, the country's infrastructure was recently destroyed by a massive earthquake. Our programs operations manager has up to 15 years of experience running small scale relief programs in the country, and it is our goal to expand on these efforts to other areas around the world.
